Welcome to Athens, the oldest capital in Europe and the perfect place to start our adventure. First up, we’ll meet our soon-to-be best bestfriends as we check-in and get settled into our shared apartment. Then we’ll put our aprons on and jump into a traditional Greek cooking class. Think fresh ingredients, local flavors, and plenty of refreshing drinks. 100% guaranteed that our first travel memories together will be filled with hilarious fun. After dinner, we’ll take a relaxed stroll through Athens’ cobblestone streets, soaking in the city’s European energy and ancient beauty as the sun sets.

Today we’ll dive deeper into Athens as a local guide brings the city’s rich history and culture to life. From ancient ruins to hidden gems, you'll get a fresh perspective on what makes this place so iconic. In the afternoon, we’ll head north toward Meteora – home to the jaw-dropping ‘sky monasteries’. After checking-in, we’ll relax before heading out to catch an unforgettable sunset over the towering cliffs and centuries-old monasteries. We’ll wrap the day with a cozy group dinner and some seriously good Greek food.

We’ll kick off the day with a hearty breakfast before lacing up for a trek up the Great Meteoron trails. These scenic paths wind through dramatic landscapes and lead us right into the Meteora’s sky monasteries. For lunch, we’ll picnic at the Holy Trinity Monastery – famous not just for its views, but for starring in films like James Bond and Tomb Raider. After lunch, we’ll make our way back down and enjoy some free time to explore. For the curious, the nearby Cave of Theopetra is worth a visit – home to the oldest known man-made structure in the world.

We’ll kick off the day with a scenic drive through northern Greece, stopping in the lakeside city of Ioannina for breakfast. From there, we’ll continue through some of the country’s most underrated natural landscapes before arriving in Papingo – a picture-perfect mountain village tucked inside Vikos – Aoös National Park.

Once we arrive, we will drop off our non-essential gear at tomorrow night’s accommodation before we hike to Astraka Refuge (4h, 6km, 1000m gain), where we will enjoy a cozy night sleeping among the stunning peaks of Tymfi.

It’s time for one of the most unforgettable hikes of the trip – Today we hike to the mythical Dragon Lake of Tymfi (Drakolimni) (3.5h, 6km, 500m gain, 300m loss)!

The trail immediately begins with dramatic mountain scenery, which continues throughout the hike. We’ll stop back at the mountain refuge for lunch before we continue to hike down to our accommodation in Papingo (4h, 6km, 1000m loss).

On the way back, we will visit the incredible naturally-formed limestone Papingo Rock Pools – a great place for swimming, exploring, and making use of your camera!

We will then end the day relaxing as we watch the stunning sunset from our accommodation before we head to a local taverna for dinner.

It’s time to gear up for an epic canyoning adventure. We’ll trek through riverbeds that are surrounded by towering rock walls and abseil our way through the untouched Nefeli Gorge (6h, 4 rappels, up to 17m). After we return to Papingo, there will be time to unwind and take some well-earned rest or explore more hidden gems – up to you!

Today another legendary hike is waiting for us (8h, 14km, 1000 gain, 1000 loss)!

We’ll descend into the record-holding Vikos gorge and for the next 8 hours, we’ll be hiking between the Zagori villages of Monodendri, Vikos, and Papingo. The trail will lead us along the Voidomatis riverbed, through shaded forests, and beside sheer cliffs all the way to where our accommodation awaits in the stunning stone-built village of Monodendri – where a well-deserved warm meal and shower will be waiting for us.

Today is filled with many epic stops across Northern Greece; the first stop has us explore the massive 14,800m² Perama Caves, the second to the tranquil village of Glyki, nestled along the legendary Acheron Springs – believed to be the gateway to the underworld in Greek mythology. We’ll wade through its crystal-clear waters, explore the steep riverbanks of the gorge, and enjoy a relaxed lunch in nature. Then it’s off to check in at our next stop: the charming coastal town of Parga, where we can enjoy a delicious dinner at a waterfront restaurant and explore this picturesque town.

After a week of exploring Greek Summits, we start exploring the Greek Seas. After a slow, relaxing morning and breakfast, we set off on a kayak tour that takes us along the Ionian Coast. This means beach-hopping across hidden pristine island beaches, swimming in extremely blue water, and soaking up the sun as we relax and reflect on our adventure.

We’ll enjoy a family breakfast together and perhaps sneak out on one last walk around the city together before saying our “see-you-laters” to our group of strangers turned best friends as we each head onto our next destinations – maybe together?
