Welcome to Athens, the oldest capital in Europe and the perfect place to start our adventure. First up, we’ll meet our soon to be bestfriends as we check-in and get settled into our shared apartment. Then we’ll put our aprons on and jump into a traditional Greek cooking class. Think fresh ingredients, local flavors, and plenty of refreshing drinks. 100% guaranteed that our first travel memories together will be filled with hilarious fun. After dinner, we’ll take a relaxed stroll through Athens’ cobblestone streets, soaking in the city’s European energy and ancient beauty as the sun sets.

Today we dive deeper into Athens as a local guide brings the city’s rich history and culture to life. From ancient ruins to hidden gems, you'll get a fresh perspective on what makes this place so iconic. In the afternoon, we’ll head north toward Meteora – home to the jaw-dropping ‘sky monasteries’. After checking-in, we’ll relax before heading out to catch an unforgettable sunset over the towering cliffs and centuries-old monasteries. We’ll wrap the day with a cozy group dinner and some seriously good Greek food.

We’ll kick off the day with a hearty breakfast before lacing up for a trek up the Great Meteoron trails. These scenic paths wind through dramatic landscapes and lead us right into the Meteora’s sky monasteries. For lunch, we’ll picnic at the Holy Trinity Monastery – famous not just for its views, but for starring in films like James Bond and Tomb Raider. After lunch, we’ll make our way back down and enjoy some free time to explore. For the curious, the nearby Cave of Theopetra is worth a visit – home to the oldest known man-made structure in the world.

We’ll kick off the day with a scenic drive through northern Greece, stopping in the lakeside city of Ioannina for breakfast. From there, we’ll continue through some of the country’s most underrated natural landscapes before arriving in Papingo—a picture-perfect mountain village tucked inside Vikos–Aoös National Park, where we’ll spend the next two nights.

Once we’re settled, it’s time to gear up for an epic canyoning adventure. We’ll trek through riverbeds that are surrounded by towering rock walls and abseil our way through the untouched Nefeli Gorge. After re-energizing with lunch, we’ll return to Papingo with time to unwind and explore another hidden gem – the Papingo natural limestone rock pools, which have been formed over thousands of years. A great place for swimming, exploring, and using your camera!

It’s time for one of the most unforgettable hikes of the trip – Today we hike to the mythical Dragon Lake of Tymfi (Drakolimni)! The trail begins in lush forest before opening up to sweeping ridgelines and dramatic mountain scenery. We’ll stop for lunch at a cozy mountain refuge to refuel and take in the views, then continue on to the lake itself. Expect breathtaking landscapes, fresh mountain air, and all-around good vibes before we head back to our cozy accommodation for some well-earned rest.

Travel to the tranquil village of Glyki, nestled along the legendary Acheron Springs – believed to be the gateway to the underworld in Greek mythology. We’ll kayak through its crystal-clear waters, then explore the lush riverbanks, and enjoy a relaxed lunch in nature. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the unique cliffside Monument of Zalongo and uncover the powerful story behind it. Then it’s off to check in at our next stop: the charming coastal town of Preveza, where we can enjoy a delicious dinner at a waterfront restaurant.

Today we island hop to Lefkada, home to some of the most breathtaking beaches in the Ionian Sea. After days of hiking, climbing, and exploring, this is your well-earned time to relax. Think dramatic cliffs, white sand, and water so blue it looks unreal. We’ll spend the day beach-hopping, swimming, and soaking up the sun at spots that belong on a postcard. Whether you're diving into the waves, wandering seaside villages, or just stretching out on the sand, it’s all about slowing down and soaking it in.

We’ll ease into our final full day with a slow, peaceful morning in Preveza. Sip coffee at a waterfront café, wander the quiet streets, and take in the charm of this coastal gem one last time. After a relaxed stroll back to our accommodation, we’ll hop on the bus back to Athens. As evening falls, we’ll gather for one last sunset overlooking the Acropolis – one final golden moment to reflect on everything we’ve shared. Then it’s time for our farewell dinner, where we’ll laugh, reminisce, and toast to an unforgettable journey.

We’ll enjoy a family breakfast together and perhaps sneak out on one last walk around the city together before saying our “see-you-laters” to our group of strangers turned best friends as we each head onto our next destinations – maybe together?
